Lydia Szewczyk
Senior Associate, EMEA, International WELL Building Institute

Lydia Szewczyk serves as a Senior Associate on the Commercial team at International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), supporting teams across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in Scotland, UK, Lydia possesses a rich knowledge of complex built environment design issues and opportunities, and uses her experience to support project teams and provide technical assistance. Prior to joining IWBI, Lydia practiced as a Licensed Architect, working on a wide range of projects from town master planning, adaptive reuse, boutique commercial, and residential. She was drawn to architecture and urban design to solve interwoven sustainability and equity issues in the built environment, and she has been involved in the non-profit, government, and private sectors, largely in the USA and Europe. In recent years, Lydia sees an increasing need to pivot away from traditional architecture to better influence policymakers and practitioners to prioritise social and environmental sustainability.
