Winchester-headquartered architectural firm Hyphen has named Eva Diego as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Eddie Miles, who will remain as chair. The move is part of a planned leadership transition to support the firm’s international growth strategy.

Hyphen delivers projects across retail, hospitality, workplace, logistics, and digital infrastructure, with offices in Dublin, London, Belfast, Berlin, Madrid, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, Santiago, and Adelaide. Diego, an architect with more than 25 years of experience, previously established Hyphen’s Madrid studio and led its expansion into Latin America.

As CEO, Diego will focus on strengthening Hyphen’s advisory capabilities, deepening relationships with major clients, and expanding the firm’s work in international architecture and digital infrastructure. She said: “Global demand for critical digital infrastructure is reshaping the built environment, and we are well positioned to lead. We act as both expert delivery partners and trusted architectural advisors for our clients, helping them to navigate complex and technically demanding projects while ensuring commercial viability.”

Eddie Miles, chair of Hyphen, added: “Eva’s appointment reaffirms Hyphen’s ambition to become a truly international practice. She has been central to the business’s growth over many years, and I have total confidence in her leadership. My role now is to support Eva and the wider leadership team, ensuring continuity while the business continues to develop.”

The appointment marks a strategic milestone for Hyphen as it positions itself to address the rising global demand for technologically complex and commercially viable architectural projects.
