US-based architecture firm Cline has acquired Austin practice Mark Odom Studio to establish operations in Texas, according to Virtual Builders Exchange. The North Carolina-headquartered company extends its services into one of America's fastest-growing urban markets.
Cline operates as an architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture firm with existing operations in Raleigh and Charlotte. The strategic acquisition enables the company to establish a physical footprint in Texas, leveraging Mark Odom Studio's local market knowledge and award-winning reputation.
The transaction brings complementary practices together under a single integrated platform, with client continuity prioritised. The expanded expertise strengthens Cline's capabilities across residential, mixed-use, workplace, commercial, and renovation and reuse markets.
Michael Mesnard, Cline chief executive, said: "Raleigh is Cline's first home, and the Carolinas are at its foundation. The acquisition of Mark Odom Studio, an inventive design voice with recognized work across residential, commercial, and mixed-use, will build and expand that foundation, pairing Texas market insight with Cline's multi-disciplinary depth. Clients will experience the same trusted teams—now with greater creative range and delivery horsepower."
Mark Odom Studio, led by principals Mark Odom and Jed Duhon, is known for architecture and interior projects across commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, residential, and adaptive reuse sectors. The firm's organic growth beyond Texas has been driven by partnerships with forward-thinking clients.
Mark Odom, founding principal, said: "We are grateful to be aligned with Cline, as our cultures and values strongly complement one another. This is a natural next step, and our team is ready. We look forward to building a strong future together—one rooted in shared values, complementary strengths, and a commitment to thoughtful growth."
Odom and Duhon will continue leading day-to-day operations in Austin, supporting Cline's expanded resources including planning and urban design and brand design.
