Ulster University’s Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC) has launched the Responsible AI Hub, a new online platform designed to help businesses, policymakers, and individuals adopt artificial intelligence (AI) ethically, safely, and with confidence.
The Hub brings together practical governance tools, clear guidance, and ethical frameworks to make responsible AI accessible to everyone.
The project has been led by Tadhg Hickey, head of AI and digital ethics policy at the centre. Hickey said the Hub is designed to provide users with the “confidence, language and tools to make good choices” when engaging with AI.
“Whether you’re curious about what responsible AI means or designing complex AI solutions, this Hub gives you everything you need to make informed, responsible decisions,” he explained.
“Responsible AI isn’t just for data scientists – it’s for everyone. The more people who understand and apply these principles, the more we can build trust and unlock AI’s potential for good,” he added.
“The Responsible AI Hub empowers businesses, individuals, and communities to be confident and capable with AI, strengthening Northern Ireland’s position as a global leader in trusted, human-centred innovation. It will help local businesses adopt AI not only quickly, but responsibly and productively, ensuring that ethical principles are embedded from the outset,” David Crozier, director of AICC said.
The platform is designed to enable organisations to integrate good practices from the start, reducing the risk of costly retrofits or regulatory breaches while accelerating safe innovation. It also provides resources that support education, compliance, and strategic decision-making around AI adoption.
