Evara, Ireland’s largest privately-owned residential developer, has secured land in Kilternan and Saggart, opening the door to more than 600 new homes. These acquisitions mark a significant step beyond its existing Dublin portfolio, which includes Cherrywood, Adamstown, Clonburris and Portmarnock, and follow a major investment from TPG Real Estate aimed at accelerating housing delivery.

The Kilternan site spans 8.4 hectares across two plots along the Glenamuck District Distributor Road, offering seamless access to the M50 and nearby villages. Plans envisage 350 homes with a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom properties complemented by green spaces and recreational areas. Planning applications are expected later this year and early in 2026.

In Saggart, an 8.3-hectare site within Citywest is progressing through the Large Residential Development pre-planning process with South Dublin County Council. The combined proposals with an adjacent landowner will total 269 homes, featuring houses, duplexes and apartments. The development also includes plans for a creche, a future school site, and enhanced connections to community green infrastructure.

CEO Michael Hynes highlighted the strategic impact, emphasising the potential to increase annual delivery to more than 1,500 homes while providing energy-efficient housing in well-connected, vibrant communities.

Evara’s moves underline the growing importance of scale and location in residential development, offering insights into how private investment and strategic land acquisition can accelerate output in a competitive market.
