Irish architecture firm MCA and German data centre advisory company TTSP HWP have announced a merger to create a fully integrated European group specialising in the design, engineering, and project delivery of large and complex data centres.

The combined entity will operate under a joint leadership model, with Alexander Hauser, CEO of TTSP HWP, assuming the role of CEO and collaborating closely with MCA’s leadership team.

The merger brings together more than 240 professionals across architecture, engineering, master planning, and project management, with offices in Dublin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Cologne. MCA contributes over 35 years of experience in high-performance, sustainable design and mission-critical facilities, while TTSP HWP is one of Germany’s foremost data-centre advisors, marking 35 years in the sector. The pairing is designed to serve hyper-scalers and global digital-infrastructure clients across Europe, providing consistency, scale, and expertise.

Brian Murphy, managing director of MCA, described the move as “a major step forward,” highlighting the natural alignment of values and ambitions between the two firms. Gerry Murphy, executive director of MCA, added that operating as a single integrated group will create new opportunities for teams and greater value for clients.

The merger is supported by Tikehau Capital, which acquired TTSP HWP in January through its private equity decarbonisation strategy, providing long-term backing for European expansion. Hauser emphasised that the integration will enable the group to deliver innovative, energy-efficient solutions for hyper-scalers and global clients while contributing to more sustainable digital infrastructure across Europe.

The combined entity positions itself as a pan-European leader in data-centre design and engineering, offering clients a unified service model capable of meeting the growing demand for responsible, high-performance digital infrastructure.
