Australian marine precinct operator The Boat Works has commenced construction of Pier 25, a multi-storey commercial development within its Coomera facility on the Gold Coast.
Business News Australia reported that the architect-designed building will be located at the entrance to the northern superyacht yard within the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, supporting marine industry operations through integrated commercial and operational space.
The development will include marine showrooms, professional office suites and crew accommodation, targeting businesses operating within the superyacht and broader maritime services sector.
Project founder Tony Longhurst said: “Pier 25 represents our commitment to growth and innovation, creating premium spaces for marine businesses to grow and prosper, while enhancing the experience for boat owners and visitors.”
Marine Solutions Australia is among the early tenants, with plans to establish its headquarters and showroom within the new building, consolidating operations already largely based at the precinct.
MSA Director Stewart Humphries said: “We are super-excited to be moving into Pier 25 and The Boat Works, which shares the same ethos and dedication to world-class service as MSA.”
The development aligns with wider expansion at The Boat Works, which spans more than 22 hectares and supports over 1,000 on-site workers, forming one of the largest marine service hubs in the southern hemisphere.
The project follows earlier infrastructure investment including a $30m expansion of the northern shipyard, designed to increase capacity for superyacht maintenance and hardstand operations.
For building and architecture stakeholders, Pier 25 reflects continued demand for specialist commercial waterfront developments combining industrial marine functionality with office and hospitality-grade built environments.
